Non-Contentious Construction Associate - International Law Firm

Overview 

Our client is a well-established international law firm, who is looking for a Non-Contentious Construction Associate to add to their dynamic Construction and Engineering team in London. 

The Role of a Non-Contentious Construction Associate

The candidate will be joining a 3-partner mixed non-contentious and contentious construction practice that is known to deal with high value, complex and international work. Its key strengths lie in real estate development, development finance, energy (including renewables), major projects and infrastructure and contentious construction and engineering disputes.

Whilst the focus of the work will primarily be non-contentious, the new associate will enjoy a high level of client contact. They will be expected to take responsibility for their workload and contribute to the business development of the practice.

To be considered for the Non-Contentious Construction Associate role you must: 

• be a qualified solicitor under England & Wales or under related Commonwealth jurisdictions; 
• at least 5+ years PQE;
• have a proven track record in construction work including standard form contracts, consultant appointments, bonds guarantees and related interfaces;
• have excellent academic achievement with a minimum 2:1 degree or equivalent;
• strong negotiation skills; and
• detailed analytical skills.
