HR Manager

A Surrey based law firm is looking to recruit a HR Operation’s Manager to cover maternity leave, the role can be 4-5 days and reports to the HR Director. The firm are seeking an experienced generalist who can partner with senior stakeholders from across the firm to challenge and support the development of existing working practices and behaviours.

Operating across multiple levels, the HR Operations Manager responsibilities will range from day-to-day employee relations to all stages of HR Project work from inception to delivery.

Role highlights

·                     Understand and interpret HR needs for each department and provide practical advice.

·                     Support the coaching and upskilling of partners, Heads of Departments (Partners) and Business Services managers in the development of their people management skills.

·                     Manage and support the key annual operational activities such as promotions, budgeting and salary review.

·                     Create meaningful impact in priority areas such as talent retention and employee engagement and motivation.

·                     Assist with the coaching and upskilling of junior members of the HR team.

To be successful in the role you will have operated at HR Manager level already and have worked within professional services – legal being an advantage. You will be commercially astute and have a good understanding of the practical application of HR.
