A leading multinational pharmaceutical retailer is looking for a Legal Counsel to join their growing team. This is a unique opportunity to work for one of the strongest brands in the market in a varied role where no two days will be the same.

Supporting the Assistant General Counsel, key responsibilities will include:

• Providing clear and incisive legal advice on a broad range of commercial matters across a variety of jurisdictions;

• Advising on contracts and transactional matters (including commercial, procurement, licensing, distribution);

• Managing legal risk across the business;

• M&A and competition issues;

• Some disputes resolution;

• Ensuring regulatory matters;

• Intellectual property;

• Data protection and compliance.

The ideal candidate will have the following skills and attributes:

• UK or European qualified (although all candidates will be considered on merit);

• 3-5 PQE with experience either at a major City or regional law firm, or within a relevant in-house role;

• Experience in commercial, corporate or competition law is beneficial;

• Strong academic credentials;

• Transactional experience advising on a diverse range of domestic and international commercial legal matters;

• Strong commercial acumen;

• Communication skills and a team player
