Job description: A law firm in Manchester city centre is looking for a highly motivated Senior Family Law Solicitor/CILEX to join their growing family department.
This is a home based role with some travel to one of our regional offices to be discussed in the interview process.
The successful candidate will be:
- Managing and developing a team of family law solicitors, undertaking all line-management duties for these colleagues
- Taking ownership of a mixed caseload of family matters, undertaking active negotiation and mediation to get the best results for your clients
- Reviewing and managing the team’s workload and delegating duties evenly across the team
- Actively looking for opportunities to improve ways of working and increase revenue
- Reporting directly into the Head of Family Law, providing insights and findings
- Advising the team on complex legal queries, acting as the subject matter specialist in family law
This role is suited to:
- A qualified as a solicitor / CILEX qualified, with significant post-qualification experience
- A solid background in family law, with excellent legal technical knowledge
- Previous experience in advocacy would be beneficial in this role
- People management experience, with a passion for supporting and developing a team
- Outstanding communication skills, with the ability to engage with a range of clients and partners, including executive colleagues within CLS
Salary: £45,000 - £60,000K plus benefits DOE
Hours per Week: 37.5
