The Role

This Top 50 firm are looking for a Contentious Construction Solicitor / Associate to join them in their Legal 500 ranked and Chambers ranked department within their Manchester office.

The firm's Litigation presence is nationally esteemed and is tier 1 ranked in both the Legal 500 and Chambers and deals with a varied and interesting caseload of contentious and advisory Property work. The firm works with leading developers, investors and clients across a broad range of sectors, alongside carrying out work for HNW individuals.

The firm charges well for the work they undertake and provides a strong platform of administrative support for its fee earners, with a team of Paralegals and secretaries in each department.

You will run a high quality, varied caseload comprising the full remit of Construction Litigation; including but not limited to; contract disputes, warranty-based claims, insolvency and payment disputes and construction-related professional negligence. Though the role will primarily focus on contentious work, it may also involve non contentious drafting work.

This role will place you working alongside a team of highly talented professionals who will guide and support you in both your day to day role and towards your career aspirations.

Requirements

• You will be a Construction Lawyer with a minimum of 2 years' experience
• Experience in litigated matters to include adjudication, mediation, litigation and risk management.
• Background in a firm with an excellent reputation in the field of construction law
• Excellent academic and professional qualifications
• You will be a team player with excellent attention to detail.
• The ability to confidentially manage your own caseload of high calibre work and clients
