This nationally recognised organisation is looking for a Legal Advisor with public law experience to join them on an interim basis, from as soon as possible to the end of March 2021, with the scope to extend. You will join a friendly in-house team providing direct legal advice and commissioning legal services as required by the wider business.
Key duties of the role include;
Provision of timely, accurate, and high-quality legal advice and support on issues and risks affecting the organisation.
Commenting on drafting legislation/legislative changes and advising how best to implement such changes.
Providing advice and support to the wider business so that sound legal advice underpins the decisions taken and that the legal implications of those actions are understood.
Liaising with Government Departments and external stakeholders on legal issues affecting the organisation.
You will be a qualified Solicitor/Barrister with a minimum of three years' experience within public law. Experience of social care law or education law and equalities experience would be advantageous.
