The Role

This Top 50 firm are looking for a Corporate Restructuring Associate to join them in their Legal 500 ranked and Chambers ranked department within their Leeds office

The team are nationally recognised and are often high in the table for the number of CVA's undertaking in the past year. You will be working with Hall of Famers, Leading individuals and Legal 500 recognised lawyers. The Corporate Restructuring & Insolvency department work with a broad spectrum of matters with particular emphasis on supporting practitioners, banks and asset-based lenders. Both Contentious and Non-Contentious matters.

The ideal candidate will have experience working in a dedicated restructuring and insolvency team and have a mixture of non-contentious and contentious experience, as you will be assisting on a mixed caseload of work, however the majority will be non-contentious matters. You should have experience of the broad restructuring and advisory process in particular knowledge of directors' duties in the context of financial difficulty, pre-insolvency procedures, refinancing and formal insolvency procedures

Acting for household name clients, this role will give you the opportunity to run with smaller matters on your own as well as work closely alongside Partners in the national team on larger scale.

Requirements

  • You will be a Corporate Restructuring with at least 2 years PQE (There is no upper limit for the level of PQE)
  • You will be currently working within a Top National firm or City firm.
  • Worked within a respectable Restructuring team
  • Exposure to Non-Contentious matters
