Are you a solicitor looking for a fresh start? An international law firm is looking to recruit an additional solicitor to support their busy and growing tax team.
What do you need:
- 2-5 years PQE in Tax Law
- Qualified in England & Wales with excellent academics
- Experience on working on corporate and real estate tax matters
The Team:
- The team handles transactional, structuring and advisory work.
- It has niche expertise in share schemes, employee incentives and real estate tax, and also regularly handles tax-related M&A and finance work, as well as investment funds issues.
Work Highlights:
- Advised NYSE listed Covanta Holding Corporation on its strategic 50:50 joint venture with the Green Investment Group Limited, a subsidiary of Macquarie Group, to develop, fund and own Energy-from-Waste (“EFW”) projects in Ireland and the UK. The joint venture created a platform to develop and invest in the combined project pipelines of the partners, as well as to pursue new opportunities for EfW project development or acquisitions.
- Advised Arthur J Gallagher on all aspects of the acquisition of Stackhouse Poland Limited, which included advising on tax issues and tax aspects of the sale documentation.
- Advised Martin Currie/Henderson/Establishment Investment Trust on the structuring of two tax-efficient liquidation rollover schemes for listed investment trusts involving (i) Martin Currie Asia Unconstrained Trust plc and Legg Mason ICVC and (ii) the Establishment Investment Trust plc and Henderson International Income Trust plc.
