Are you a lawyer who loves the opportunities, benefits and security of working in private practice but wants to move away from a traditional fee earning model? If so, we have an excellent opportunity with one of London’s leading US law firms who are looking for a talented solicitor to join their in-house legal team. Unlike other firms, they are willing to consider qualified lawyers from private practice/in-house with no experience in this sector!!!

The role sits in the Office of General Counsel where the team currently consists of two senior in-house lawyers. This is a newly created role and is an excellent opportunity for a lawyer looking for a change of pace/change of direction.

The role will be broad as you will be advising the business on a range of legal, compliance and regulatory matters. Therefore the role would suite a lawyer with strong commercial and business acumen as you will be required to make risk based decisions and provide solutions quickly.

The two in-house lawyers in the team both have a commercial litigation background before moving in-house and they can appreciate the transferable skills.

Although UK qualification would be ideal, they are open to someone qualified in a similar overseas jurisdiction (for example Australia or New Zealand). Most importantly you will have experience at a top tier firm in commercial litigation, corporate, capital markets or financial services. It is anticipated you will have 2-3 years PQE if admitted in the UK, or 3-4 PQE if admitted elsewhere. However, please note that only qualified lawyers will be considered for this role.
