A friendly London Borough Council are seeking a capable Lawyer to join their Adult Social Care team.
This is a locum assignment that will extend until March 2021, when it when be reviewed and likely extended thereafter. This role will be conducted fully remotely.
My client needs an extra pair of hands on the team due to a recent increase in workloads to handle the following:
- Judicial reviews (JR)
- No recourse to public funds (NRPF)
- Disputed age assessments
- Unaccompanied minors
- S17/20 Children Act disputed cases
- Adult social care matters
- Advocacy (optional)
It is essential that you have significant judicial review experience, as this will form the bulk of your work. Therefore, this role would suit Adult Social Care Lawyers with such experience, as well as Litigation Lawyers with experience of JRs in relation to adults and child safeguarding.
My client is happy to consider applicants from both public and private sectors, as long as you can demonstrate the relevant experience. The client is also willing to offer some training and support if required.
In return, the successful Lawyer will enjoy:
- An interesting and varied caseload
- Remote working
- Competitive hourly rate of £30-35 per hour
- Option to condense hours
Positions do not arise often in this team so don't miss out on this incredible opportunity to join them! The council cultivates a supportive, encouraging environment and is very proud of its forward-thinking wellbeing initiatives. Therefore, a hard-working and personable Lawyer will fit in very well here.
We encourage interested applicants to apply immediately to be considered for short listing. Alternatively should you require further information or wish to discuss your suitability before applying please contact Chloë Cameron in our Manchester office for a confidential discussion.
