Position: Corporate Associate

Location: Southampton

Salary: £42,000+ (DOE)

PQE: 2-4 years

The Firm

My client is a law firm operating in all UK jurisdictions from a network of 13 locations. Clients include companies on every part of the business growth cycle, from start-up ventures to market leaders, financial institutions and major public organisations. They offer clients strength and depth in all the core disciplines, together with key specialisms and a range of sector strengths.  They are a leading UK law firm with a network of offices from the south coast to Scotland.

The team

The firm advise companies, management teams, investors and debt providers through the business life cycle, from start-up and first round finance through M&A, management transactions, venture and development funding, restructuring, capital reductions, private equity funding and exits. They also have a growing corporate finance practice, primarily advising listed clients on equity capital raisings in the public market.

The role

Despite the current pandemic and challenging market conditions my client is looking to grow their national corporate team and are looking for an ambitious Associate to join their team in Southampton in order to help drive that growth.  Career progression opportunities here are second to none. The successful applicant should be able to demonstrate hands-on experience in working on a range of M&A transactions following qualification.

There is plenty of scope to take ownership of transactions, as well opportunity to work with the Partners on larger or more complex matters. They  pride themselves in providing the best client experience and you will be encouraged to maximise your client contact and take part in a variety of client and BD activities from the outset.
