Exciting new opportunity to join the Conveyancing experts in Leeds.
A well known firm is looking to expand they Residential Conveyancing sales and purchases team.
In this role you will be responsible for managing a caseload of conveyancing cases efficiently and effectively. This will involve either acting on behalf of customers (and potentially also their lenders) in their sales and purchases or acting solely for lenders on a purchase separate representation basis.
Dual Representation Conveyancer
•Title checking purchase cases and checking replies to enquiries as they are received
•Interpreting mortgage offers and explaining the contents to the customer
•Reporting to customers on their purchase, ensuring appropriate documents are signed
•Preparation of Completion Statements on both sale and purchase matters ensuring all files conclude with no shortfall and zero balance
•Dealing with enquiries raised on sale matters
•Exchange contracts on unrelated and related transactions both sale and purchase.
•Undertake purchase pre-completion searches and interpret results.
•Handle the completion on both sale and purchase transactions where required.
•Give weekly pro-active updates to customers and pro-active updates to intermediaries and agents and other proactive updates.
•Ability to handle a related transaction from instruction to completion.
Separate Representation Conveyancer
•Title checking purchase cases and checking replies to enquiries as they are received
•Interpreting mortgage offers, identifying special conditions and ensuring these are satisfied by the borrower's solicitors
•Ensure the appropriate signed documentation is received from the borrower's solicitors
•Understand the client specific requirements of the different separate representation lenders
•Identify when a case is ready to exchange and authorise exchange to the borrower's solicitor
•Request completion funds and deal with completion
Personal Qualities
The following skills are essential
•Previous Residential Conveyancing experience (minimum of 12 months, either managing a caseload or in a support role)
•Excellent communication and customer service skills.
•Ability to meet tight deadlines and targets & work under pressure.
•Good data input skills.
•Good team player, but, also ability to work on own initiative.
•Good attention to detail.
•Good organisational skills.
•Previous administrative/customer service experience.
