Legal Counsel

LAW Absolute are delighted to be working alongside a multi-national Media Company in their search for a Junior Legal Counsel.

Our client, who has a global presence within the entertainment space, is looking for an ambitious and motivated lawyer to join their team in Central London on a permanent basis.  Nb The role will be remote to begin with.

This opportunity will allow the successful candidate to work as part of a market leading in-house legal function and gain exposure to high profile media personnel both within the business and externally.

This is a fantastic opportunity to gain exposure to a variety of work; TV distribution and production (including budgeting, finance and commissioning)

The Role:

• Advising on a broad range of commercial, GDPR and IP matters
• Reviewing, drafting and negotiating NDAs as well as production and development agreements
• Reviewing and advising upon broadcaster commissioning and distribution agreements
• Conducting legal research and keeping the legal team and wider business up-to-date with relevant changes and legislative changes

The Successful Candidate:

• UK or commonwealth qualified lawyer
• Experience within either a media focused law firm, television production company or broadcaster
• Good experience/understanding of TV environment
• Keen eye for detail and a desire to grow within the media sector as part of a fast paced and high performing team
