Your new company
This organisation utilises research and development gained between engineers and scientists to advance the growth of a specific type of biological therapy to treat disease. They work alongside individuals within industry and academia to develop these therapies for heath services over the world. Due to growth within the organisation, they are looking to increase their Legal team by appointing a Legal Business Partner to look after the new research facility in Essex and assist the London team with their workload.

Your new role
The purpose of this role is to firstly be the 'right hand man' of the Head of Legal in London and secondly to be the 'go to' legal business partner for a new vaccine manufacturing centre the organisation are partnering with. The centre is situated in Essex however duties across the wider organisation in London are required. You will advise on a wide range of contractual and legal matters. You will be one of the legal experts for the company, providing advice in a wide variety of contractual situations including negotiating, and drafting on service level and supply agreements with medical and information technology service providers; data transfer and confidentiality agreements.

What you'll need to succeed
To be considered for this role, you will need to be a qualified solicitor at 2PQE+. You will ideally have several years experience of drafting and negotiating large and complex commercial contracts as well as experience of warranties, IP and licensing. You will have a broad experience of dealing with negotiations and ideally will have previously worked with Clinical Trial Agreements using and amending the NHS/ABPI/BIA template agreements (not essential). Experience of dealing with IP contracts will be beneficial. In terms of key competencies, you have the ability to quickly establish credibility, build rapport and trust with internal and external stakeholders.

For the time being you will need to have access to remote working. However once back in the office the role will still offer flexibility / home working although you will need to be flexible in travelling to Central London / Essex a couple of times a week.
