Sellick Partnership are currently recruiting for an exciting opportunity for a Commercial Contracts Lawyer to join a local authority in the North East for a 2 year fixed term contract.
This role would be ideallly suited to someone with either previous commercial contracts and procurement experience or someone looking to move into the area of law.
The successful cadidate will pick up matters such as:
- Range of commercial transactions
- Advising on social care and public health, construction, waste, and IT contracts
- Public Procurement matters
- Projects of strategic significance to the Council
The role will also involve supporting collaborative and joint working with other local authorities and public bodies and supporting other Council client organisations.
The successful applicant will have strong experience in preparing contract documentation as well as providing sound procurement and commercial advice across the range of the Council's functions. In return you will receive a competitive salary, public sector pension and flexible working patterns.
