Sellick Partnership are currently recruiting for an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and enthusiastic qualified Solicitor or Barrister to join the Commercial Team at a Local Authority in the North East on a permanent of fixed term basis.

The ideal candidate will have a sound knowledge of contract and public procurement law, including:

  • Public Contracts Regulations 2015,
  • Range of commercial transactions
  • Advising on social care and public health, construction, waste, and IT contracts
  • Projects of strategic significance to the Council

The role will also involve supporting collaborative and joint working with other local authorities and public bodies and supporting other Council client organisations.

The successful applicant will have strong experience in preparing contract documentation as well as providing sound procurement and commercial advice across the range of the Council's functions. In return you will receive a competitive salary, public sector pension and flexible working patterns.
