Description
Information Sharing/ Competition:
- Responsibility for compliance with competition law under our joint venture and MSA protocols.
- Implement robust and effective controls to ensure that information sharing occurs in a manner that is consistent with competition law requirements,
- Escalate any reported issues or breaches of information sharing rules to the Governance & Compliance Counsel.
- Own and manage Competition Law issues arising under key business projects.
- Produce accurate project control documents and ensuring that the competition law policies and guidelines are relevant and up to date.
- work collaboratively with key areas of the business and advise on competition law issues
Training:
- The role will be responsible for developing and conducting training sessions for new joiners and knowledge sharing updates to the wider business. This will also include reviewing and improving existing processes and procedures.
Reporting:
- Provide the necessary reports and updates to the Head of Legal and Compliance as well as the senior leadership team , stakeholders and customers to ensure that progress is understood and behaviours around information sharing and regulatory compliance are driven in the correct manner.
Compliance Activities:
- To support and contribute actively to regulatory compliance, business continuity and information security arrangements that meets our obligations to our customers.
Profile
Required:
- The ideal candidate will be a UK or EU qualified lawyer with at least 3 years PQE in competition law
- The ability to work in a fast- paced environment.
- The role holder must demonstrate an ability to deliver practical advice in a clear and succinct way as well as a level of commercial acumen to promote cost savings and efficiencies through innovation and continuous improvement.
- Experience in liaising with regulatory/competition authorities.
- Experience or knowledge of contracts and contractual clauses.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to build strong and effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Desirable:
- Experience in-house within telecommunications or similarly regulated industry.
- Experience of working in a Top Tier Law Firm
