An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Employment Solicitor to join a highly regarded national firm in their Nottingham or Leicester office. This role is rewarded with a competitive salary dependant on experience, along with excellent benefits.
About the role
The Employment team carry out a good mix of contentious and non-contentious employment work across a range of sectors including education, care and charities. Daily work of the Employment Solicitor will involve advising on a range of issues including employment tribunal and litigation proceedings, mediation, discrimination, whistleblowing, TUPE and the drafting of various employment documentation. The clientbase is a mix of Respondent and Claimant with a leaning towards Respondent.
An active involvement in business development and marketing is essential in order to maintain and develop a strong network for the department and firm. Supervision experience is also desirable.
About the person
The Employment Solicitor must be a UK qualified solicitor ideally with a minimum of 6 months experience in Employment matters at a reputable firm. Candidates with more experience will also be strongly considered.
Desired attributes of the Employment Solicitor include excellent interpersonal and communication skills, problem-solving and negotiation skills and commercial acumen. This firm are looking for an independent thinker with an enthusiastic attitude and a strong ambition for career development.
