Reporting to the Head of Legal Property, the successful candidate will support the Head of Legal Property, supervise junior team members and liaise closely with the Company's surveyors in all aspects of commercial property transactions including acquisitions, lease renewals, licences to alter, general portfolio management, landlord and tenant matters, and property litigation.

Responsibilities include:
* Responsible for own caseload and supervising junior team members;
* Reviewing and negotiating leases;
* Property litigation - including lease renewals, issuing and serving proceedings, drafting directions, witness statements, consent orders, notices of discontinuance etc;
* Drafting and serving Break Notices and Section 27 Notices;
* Acquisitions - drafting and negotiating contracts for sale, agreements for lease, leases, licences to alter, licences to assign in conjunction with acquisitions, deeds of assignment, transfers, completion statements and raising pre-contract enquiries;
* Disposals - drafting and negotiating contracts for sale, responding to pre-contract enquiries, obtaining Landlord's consent to assign, references, agreeing Licences to Assign and preparing completion statements;
* Relocations - agreeing deeds of variation, deeds of surrender and licences to occupy;
* Advising on Lease terms, dilapidations and other landlord and tenant issues to departments within the business.
* Preparing Lease renewal and acquisition reports for Board approval;
* Liaison with internal and external surveyors in respect of terms for lease renewals, heads of terms for acquisitions and disposals.

The candidate;
* Qualified Solicitor with a minimum of 2 years PQE dealing with commercial property law;
* Strong academic profile and firm/company background;
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
* Excellent communication skills and able to work with a range of stakeholders up to a senior level.
