Leading and award-winning international commercial law firm, delivers advice and strategic guidance spanning the full legal spectrum, from non-contentious advisory and transactional work, to all forms of commercial litigation. They act as trusted advisers to a wide portfolio of clients across a wide range of specialist sectors: from transport and logistics and international trade, through to retail, insurance, marine, health, education, manufacturing, public sector and banking and financial services. The team act for corporate clients in relation to complex litigation both in the UK and internationally, helping them tackle disputes effectively. The successful solicitor will assist with a varied caseload within the commercial litigation team from inception to conclusion. Whilst primarily based in the Liverpool office it would be expected that you would assist clients from across the offices of the firm. Individually the team have a broad range of experience across both general commercial dispute work and various individuals in the team also carry out more specialist work including in relation to tech and IP disputes.

You will communicate with clients, litigants in person, solicitors, counsel, courts and all other interested parties. Be adept at drafting and proofing documents, instructing Counsel and experts, preparation of reports to clients, business development including preparation of articles and insights. It is key to have real interest in and enthusiasm for commercial litigation. Experience of and an interest in both general commercial litigation disputes and Tech and IP disputes. Able to work as a team player assisting across the team as well as being able to work independently. Excellent communication skills and ability to build strong relationships internally and externally. Excellent organisational and time management skills including ability to plan and prioritise work appropriately so that deadlines are met and have excellent attention to detail.
