Overview

Due to continued growth a national infrastructure company based in Sheffield have an exciting opportunity within their legal function. They are looking to recruit an experienced Construction Lawyer to assist them with a wide range of legal matters.


Job Description


* Drafting and negotiating standard form building contracts, consultant appointments, tenders, framework agreements, sub-contracts, collateral warranties, bonds/guarantees, novation agreements etc and a good understanding of the main forms of dispute resolution

* Understanding of construction related insurances

* Managing construction related insurance claims

* Ability to upskill other members of the team who do not have a construction background

* Must be able to demonstrate excellent people management skills and have the ability to quickly develop successful client relationships

* Ability to provide key stakeholders with concise, commercially minded advice


Person Specification


* Trained/training with a leading law firm or organisation

* A minimum of 4 years PQE gained in construction law (contentious or non-contentious) either in-house or private practice

* Excellent communicator and can confidently liaise with senior stakeholders

* Desire to progress their in-house career
