The Role

The firm is seeking to recruit an Intellectual Property Partner to join the firms growing department based in the firm's City of London office.

This is a key strategic hire for the firm, and the successful candidate will not only drive forward the London IP offering but will work very closely with a leading Partner to further increase their national presence.
The IP team is already highly ranked in the legal 500 and Chambers, it is currently flourishing and has been steadily growing over the last 24 months, with plans to continue to grow in line with increased workflow. It is a vibrant and hard-working team; their achievements over the last five years are incredible.

The successful candidate can expect to be working for household brand names and owner-managed businesses alike on a wide range of IP and commercial law matters. The IP aspect of the role will include advising on trademarks, design rights, patents, IP licensing, brand protection strategies and brand portfolio management. The work is mixed between contentious and non-contentious, and the role is very much geared towards the preference of the successful candidate.

Requirements

  • You will be an Intellectual Property Partner with at least seven years PQE (there is no upper limit in regards to experience)
  • You will have technical knowledge
  • Experience in managing a team is of advantage
  • Excellent communication skills are essential
