Property Counsel

A well established legal team, based in Birmingham, is looking for an In-house Property Lawyer to join the organisation. This is a unique and exciting opportunity to move to an In-house team where you will retain high quality work whilst contributing to the success of complex and critical projects. 

The individual will have responsibility for a wide range of property law related matters with a particular focus on compulsory purchase orders. 

The successful candidate will; 

- Provide advice on the acquisition of a diverse range of property, including high value commercial, residential, and agricultural properties
- Advise on the disposal of properties, granting and taking leasehold interests
- Advise on landlord and tenant matters including litigation and granting easements
- Handling your own caseload of complex property matters including compulsory purchase orders and drafting bespoke agreements

The role would suit someone from a general Commercial Property / Real Estate background but we are equally keen to speak to those with Planning or Property Litigation experience. The successful individual will likely have Private Practice or Public Sector experience. This is a very broad role dealing with unusual and complex Property issues, so you should demonstrate problem solving skills and the ability to adapt when faced with new challenges.
