Locum Childcare Paralegal – up to £20 per hour – 3 months + – Remote Working

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Locum Childcare Paralegal to join the legal team of a Local Authority in the Midlands on an entirely remote basis. The duration of the contract is likely to be for 3 months with the possibility of extension thereafter.

The ideal candidate will be a confident Paralegal possessing previous experience working in Childcare for a Local Authority. Candidates with a background in Family Law from private practice will also be considered for this vacancy.

Day-to-day responsibilities may include:

  • Handling a full PLO caseload and preparing court bundles

  • Attending PLO and pre-proceedings meetings where required

  • Liaising with external parties and Counsel to provide a chronology of events

  • Dealing with S.7 and S.37 reports where required

  • Taking client instructions for drafting of C110A applications

  • Collating and preparing documents for the issuing of proceedings

  • Liaising professionally with a range of internal and external stakeholders to include Counsel, experts and opposition

  • Reviewing, editing and proofing documents including assessments, details of involvement, S. 7 and S. 37 reports

  • The client is ideally looking for a candidate to join the team on a full-time basis, but part-time candidates will also be considered.

    This role will pay between £15 and £20 per hour Umbrella, entirely dependent upon experience.
