Sellick Partnership are seeking an interim Company secretary to join an NHS Teaching hospital in the North West region.

The successful candidate will be available immediately to work full time hours, predominantly remotely.

Key responsibilites include:

  • Act as principal advisor to the Chief Executive, Chair, Board of Directors and Council of Governors on all issues relating to corporate governance
  • Ensure the Trust's corporate affairs are undertaken to the highest standards of probity and in accordance with legislative and statutory requirements
  • Support the Board and Chief Executive in fulfilling their roles with respect to good governance and standards of propriety
  • Establish and manage procedures for corporate governance
  • Lead on statutory governing council and annual membership engagement working closely with the communication/engagement lead to ensure delivery of the identified strategy. They will also manage the Trust's membership function
  • Act as principal legal advisor to the Trust in respect of commercial contracts and service level agreements that fall outside the role of the procurement function

This role is to cover a period of sickness and will last initially for 1 month, although this may be extended.
