Contract Type
Full Time
This firm is very busy within its healthcare and advisory team in Exeter. It is now searching for an additional solicitor to join and specifically give advice and representation on health and social care advisory issues to NHS bodies, local authorities and independent health and social care providers.
You will give advise on matters involving mental health, court of protection, mental capacity and deprivation of liberty, inquests, medical treatment decisions and welfare planning disputes, safeguarding, access and funding disputes. This will often involve liaison with other departments up and down the country.
This vacancy will have a particular focus on inquests and therefore inquests experience is essential.
Please note, if you are a clinical negligence solicitor looking to diversify into this area of law then unfortunately this role will unlikely suit you right now, unless you have inquests experience.
To fulfil this role, you will be a qualified solicitor with up to 10 years’ relevant experience. Ideally, you should have strong advocacy skills, combined with a healthcare background, inquest experience, and a strong understanding of the NHS.
There is an excellent salary of up to £65,000, plus excellent benefits associated working for a top class UK law firm.
This is an Exeter based vacancy, but strong work-from-home bias meaning you only need attend the Exeter office once per fortnight.
Please contact Paul Norman for more information and a confidential discussion.
