Commercial lawyer 3+ years’ PQE LONDON

Commercial law firm in central London is looking to recruit a Commercial lawyer of 3 or more years’ PQE. The Commercial team works across three main areas: commercial contracts, technology and data. They cover a very broad range of commercial agreements, from the common (but nonetheless critical) services, standard terms and conditions, online contracts, sponsorship, endorsement, management, catering, hospitality, manufacturing, agency and distribution agreements to the more complex tax-driven international commercial arrangements and multi-party collaboration and licensing agreements. The team works closely with lawyers throughout the firm, particularly the Real Estate and Corporate groups and they work across many sectors but with particular expertise in technology, real estate, sport, e-sport, retail, hospitality & leisure, betting & gaming, life sciences and media. Technology work includes software and app development, licensing and hosting agreements, e-commerce, and telecoms agreements. Data work includes both advisory and transactional work, and litigation and regulatory disputes. The team assists clients to expand their international reach and to generate income through franchising and licensing. They offer the full range of services, from helping the business to decide upon the most appropriate structure for their international growth and ensuring their brands and other rights are protected, to drafting and negotiating contracts. Clients are often privately owned, often with limited or no in-house legal function, but also include major corporations, with large legal teams and management structures.

You will have experience of drafting and negotiating commercial contracts (eg. franchise agreements, sponsorship, management, agency, licencing agreements, supply of services, sale of goods, etc.) and also IT contracts experience. Having a commercial, pragmatic approach to advice and negotiations is important, as well as having an enthusiasm and motivation to get involved with business development activities.
