Commercial law firm in Birmingham seeks a contentious Construction lawyer of 2 or more years’ PQE. The Construction law team has advised on some of the UK’s most significant construction projects over the years, including infrastructure projects, commercial/residential schemes, town centre redevelopments, urban regeneration schemes, portfolio acquisition/disposal projects and processing plants. The team acts for developers, occupiers, funders, construction professionals, contractors and specialists on managing and resolving risks in building and engineering projects. Due to ongoing growth and increased client instructions they are seeking to appoint an additional Associate to join their team in Birmingham.

The role is primarily contentious and will therefore involve adjudication, mediation, litigation and risk management. However, there may also be an opportunity for some non-contentious drafting work if this is something you’re interested in doing. As well as candidates who currently specialise in Construction law, our client will also consider Commercial Litigators and Real Estate Litigators who have a genuine interest in developing into Construction dispute specialists. Some of the firm’s Construction partners and team members have previously worked in-house for major industry players, and so candidates with backgrounds in private practice or industry are equally of interest. This is a great opportunity within a highly respected team where work will be of the highest quality and with plenty of scope to take early responsibility.
