Contentious Construction lawyer NQ – 3 years’ PQE LEEDS
Commercial law firm in Leeds is looking to recruit a contentious Construction lawyer of 0 to 3 years’ PQE. The teams’ clients include contractors, project companies, developers, public bodies, funders and insurers. They act for some of the UK's largest contractors, alongside an impressive range of private and public sector clients. The team also offers an "entire project life cycle" service to their clients. Their legal services include procurement techniques and strategies and all forms of dispute resolution. In addition to being technically strong, candidates must be commercially aware and enthusiastic about business development. You will be a team player with a strong client-focused approach and possess excellent communication and organisational skills. All applicants must have experience of working on Construction disputes and issues arising out of complex construction and engineering projects in the UK. Qualified candidates will ideally have experience in adjudication, litigation and pre-action processes and other forms of ADR, along with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Familiarity with the main standard forms, including JCT and NEC would be of interest. Newly-qualified applicants must have undertaken a seat on Construction law.
