BD Manager (Corporate M&A) - Premier Global Law Firm
An outstanding opportunity has arisen for an experienced and ambitious Business Development Manager to join one of the world's leading Corporate divisions in the legal sector.
In this role you will support partners across the London Corporate practice, with a strong focus on the M&A Group, through the delivery and project management of business development, client focus and marketing initiatives. Working with an award-winning and highly responsive team of partners and associates and joining a stable and collegiate team of eight experienced marketing and BD professionals, the successful candidate will be filling a brand new role created to build on the significant growth being experienced by the firm's M&A Groups and to help further drive their strategic ambitions. This is a broad role, with management responsibility for one team member initially. The role holder will work with partners, associate and client teams on specific business development opportunities, including research in relation to prospective clients and sector and market opportunities; contributing to and driving aspects of key client development programmes; end-to-end project management of bids including facilitation of pitch presentation rehearsals and creation and delivery of pitch documentation; drafting and project managing relevant directory and awards submissions; creating and distributing marketing materials for campaigns; and maintaining the Corporate internet and intranet sites.
Pre-requisites for this role include an outstanding academic record allied to proven BD and marketing experience gained in a leading law firm, to ideally include previous experience of a transactional practice, and broad experience in dealing with senior management and key stakeholders. The Business Development Manager will also possess good commercial awareness of legal and financial market developments, excellent project management, coaching, influencing and presentation skills and be confident, articulate, resilient and focused.
