Criminal Solicitor – Supervisor, 5+ PQE, Manchester – An outstanding opportunity for an existing Supervising Criminal Solicitor to join an established, full-service law firm in the North West.

SALARY:                         Up to c£45,000 DOE    

THE ROLE:
This is an exciting role for a Duty Solicitor that is already in a supervisory role with their current firm. In this role, the appointed Criminal Law Supervisor will be responsible for allocating work to other members of the team, attending to clients and taking instructions, file reviews, conducting advocacy, briefing Counsel where necessary and conducting regular fee earner meetings to include diary management. It is also the responsibility of the Criminal Law Supervisor to review and sign off all files before they are passed for billing. Ideally, the appointed candidate will be based locally so that they are able to travel to Court and Police Stations as required.
 
THE CANDIDATE:
Applications are sought from Duty Solicitors who are already in post in a Supervisory role. Candidates that wish to be considered for this role must currently have the caseload required for supervision. Duty Solicitors who are not currently on the Rota are still encouraged to apply as the firm are happy to arrange this. Applicants must be motivated and confident in their ability to pick up on an existing caseload of files and allocate the same accordingly. Candidates must be flexible in the event that cover is required out of office hours.
