Risk & Compliance Officer / Solicitor, Hampshire / remote working – A rare opportunity for an ambitious risk and compliance specialist to join a Legal 500 firm. 

JOB TITLE: Risk & Compliance Officer / Solicitor
PQE: 2-5 years’ experience
LOCATION: Hampshire / Remote Working
SALARY: £40-50,000 + DOE

THE ROLE:
This leading firm’s internal risk and compliance team enables the firm to achieve its corporate objectives by effectively managing and mitigating risk. The team provides high quality, accessible and timely advice through an understanding of the SRA Code of Conduct and compliance generally as well as Solicitor's Professional Liability work. The team has responsibility for implementing all relevant legislation and regulatory changes and requirements and interpreting the frameworks in a digestible way. The team promotes best practice and develops and delivers relevant training to the whole business.

THE CANDIDATE:
The firm is seeking an individual with up to 5 years’ experience of risk and compliance to support the team with a variety of such matters. This role would be suited to someone with a background in areas such as compliance, AML, internal audits (ISO accreditation), maintenance of risk registers, procurement (GDPR) and regulatory matters. Whilst a legal background is not essential, some professional negligence and/or litigation experience will be advantageous. There may be the opportunity for the right individual to gain exposure in handling claims and complaints and to provide advice around risk avoidance. Willingness to be involved with initiatives in line with this approach will be welcome.
