Your new company
A well-established and ambitious, UK-headquartered business in the retail and commercial furniture sector. The business has turnover exceeding £40m and has been Covid-proof, achieving remarkable growth in its annual compares. With over 250 staff and an exceptional leadership team, the business is going from strength to strength and is pushing on with its impressive growth plan. With steadfast relationships in place with the likes of landlords and estate agencies, the business is in an excellent position, and this is a great time to joining.
Your new role
A Contracts Manager position reporting directly into the company's CFO. This permanent position will involve balancing the negotiation and review of commercial contracts (tenders, supply agreements, JCT, T&Cs, etc.) to meet obligations with identifying, managing and mitigating cash flow risk. As part of your role, you will produce regular legal and cash-flow reports for the Executive team. You will play a prominent role in project delivery and handover, risk management and the documenting and management of project bids and contracts templates. You will be required to build strong relationships with the finance and sales teams in particular, using your influencing skills and collaborative mindset. The role will have one direct report.
What you'll need to succeed
You will have at least 5 years' experience in a contracts management orientated position, with at least a law degree if not the Legal Practice Course. You will have demonstrable experience of managing both commercial contracts review/negotiation and managing cash flow risk. As a collaborative contracts professional, you will have strong experience building relationships across a business. You will be able to show you are genuinely passionate about helping the business drive forward. People management experience will be a significant positive in an application. Once offices re-open, you will be required to go into the London office 2-3 times a week, with the company providing an excellent hybrid working culture.
What you'll get in return
You will be rewarded with an excellent salary and benefits package, and great levels of flexibility within a business that cares about its people. Further, you will be strategically involved in the growth plans while chairing specific committees that are focused on delivering the business proficiency and risk management to enable continued growth.
