In House: Commercial IT Lawyer - Digital Tech Business

My client is a leading digital media tech business providing entertainment services to homes across the UK. Due to an upcoming merger they are now seeking an experienced Commercial IT lawyer to join them on a 6 month basis to assist the Head of Legal & Compliance to provide practical legal advice and compliance across the business.

Working with Content team, customer experience team, marketing team and operations team this key role will be a pivotal role. Day to day activities involve taking the lead or legal support on commercial negotiations for the sale / purchase with retailers and distributors, sales agreements, advertising and marketing agreements including competition terms and promotional materials. Data protection, consumer issues, Content agreements, IT/Tech such as software licensing and back office agreements.

This broad role will enable the individual to get involved in a wide-ranging commercial matters, covering areas such as e-commerce, IP/IT, media, advertising, data protection and regulatory. This is a unique company which is both a media and digital tech company and gives the right individual an opportunity to move into the media space.
