EMA Clients & Markets Director - Global Accountancy Firm
A brilliant senior opportunity has arisen in one of the global accountancy firms for an ambitious senior business development director who is looking to take their next step into a regional program leadership role.
You will work closely with the EMA Clients & Markets leadership team and EMA Sector Heads to develop and lead a new approach to driving growth through a sector lens. The program is focused on both driving revenue growth and also on establishing the firm as either number one or two in chosen markets. The role holder must ensure that priority clients recognise a difference in the firm's teams, viewing them as technical experts who have a deep understanding and experience in their chosen sectors. You will need to build strong internal networks both across the EMA region and also globally to deliver a market leading program. The EMA Clients & Markets Director will have the opportunity to leverage their experience in direct client facing business development whilst leading business development and sales programs. Managing and directing a team of Sector Executives and working alongside the EMA Sector Heads to support strategy execution for each Sector, you will need to build a consistent, best practice and effective approach to sales and BD activities including business planning, account planning, reporting, pipeline management and client engagement programs. The successful applicant will manage and challenge the pipeline of activity across all Sectors and report on wins, losses and pipeline health, analysing results on a regular basis to ensure rapid learning to improve win rates and gain market share and will be responsible for the development of market insight ensuring there is a clear understanding of market opportunities to drive growth and that these are continually linked back to Sector business plans.
This role will best suit someone with a strong academic background or equivalent allied to extensive professional services experience in business development and sales, to include time spent working in a client facing role managing client relationships. Calm under pressure and able to work successfully with tight deadlines in an environment with multiple stakeholders and opinions, the EMA Clients & Markets Director will also be able to demonstrate success in implementing sales and BD best practice, effective pipeline management and building propositions for clients. Previous experience leading remote teams and of living or working internationally will be highly advantageous.
