The role of the Legal Counsel is to provide legal support to the business across a wide spectrum of legal matters that apply to the business and its services or products

Drafting and negotiating a range of commercial contracts for the company including but not limited to:
* Confidentiality agreements
* Purchase Agreements
* Standard Terms and Conditions
* Material Transfer Agreements and Feasibility Agreements
* Development Agreements
* Manufacturing and Supply Agreements
* Framework Agreements
* Quality Agreements
Review and update contract templates and any other legal template documents.
Providing support to the VP, Legal Affairs as required on group related matters including group compliance and M&A transactions.
Work closely with all levels of the business to ensure they are updated on the status of any negotiations for new/ongoing contracts and other legal matters.
Take responsibility and ownership of legal support for all activities associated with SupplyChain and Procurement.
Research and evaluate and advise on potential risk factors regarding business decisions.
Communicate and negotiate with a variety of external parties
Effectively manage and instruct external counsel on a variety of legal matters
Promote best practice for legal and risk management activities throughout the company.
Generating relevant materials, documents and training that can be shared across the business at all levels.

Be a UK qualified solicitor or if qualified abroad have practised in the UK for a significant period of time.
Experience gained in an in-house environment ideally in a Pharmaceutical, Medical device or Manufacturing Environment.
Have 1-2 years post qualification experience with experience gained in a top tier firm
Proven ability to deliver high quality work in a pragmatic, business focused manner to the timetables set by the business.
Ability to communicate at all levels of the business with proven relationship and negotiation skills
Ability to identify the material issues in contracts and advise the business in a risk-based manner and to escalate issues where required.
Ability to communicate complex legal issues and risks in terms that non-legal colleagues can understand.
