LAW Absolute is working with a local authority based in London who are seeking a Senior Childcare Lawyer with management experience. This is an interim role for 3 months initially with the possibility of extension for circa. 12 months. Our client is looking for someone to start at the end of April 2021.

The successful Childcare Lawyer will be required to hit the ground running from the outset and not only pick up a small caseload of 5 complex care cases, but also manage of team of 6. It is essential that candidates applying for the role, not only have a solid childcare background, but also have a proven management track record. The childcare department is busy and therefore previous local government experience would be advantageous. Management experience is essential.

Due to the volume of work within the team, our client would consider recruiting two candidates at this level. This really is a fantastic opportunity to manage a team alongside assist with more complex care cases. Candidates will not be required to undertake advocacy unless this is something the successful Childcare Lawyer/Manager would like to undertake. Candidates must hold a current practising certificate to be considered for the position.
