BD Manager (Corporate and M&A) - 12 Month FTC
A great 12 month maternity cover contract opportunity has arisen in a highly regarded national legal firm for an experienced Business Development Manager.
The organisation is going through an exciting period of growth and needs an outstanding BD specialist to manage and drive the practice area marketing and business development initiatives for the Corporate and M&A teams. The role holder must develop a close understanding of the work of the practice groups and will be expected to bring a strategic and planned approach to a wide range of marketing and business development activities. With line management responsibility for a Business Development Executive, the Business Development Manager will be responsible for driving forward initiatives that will directly impact on the success of the groups and will attend departmental meetings and follow up on planned activity. You will be heavily involved in business planning, CRM and bids and proposals. You will also be responsible for marketing communications, directory and award submissions and will work with the events team in relation to the organisation of events that will help the practice develop its reputation in key markets and generate leads in a cost effective manner.
Pre-requisites for the role of Business Development Manager include an outstanding academic record or equivalent allied to proven business development experience gained in a leading law or professional services firm. The ideal candidate will be a proactive and tenacious team player, with a high attention to detail and excellent influencing and communication skills in order to advise effectively at partner level.
