Construction Paralegal/Legal Executive Job - Bristol - Leading Firm
The role
Our top tier client are seeking to recruit an experienced Construction Paralegal or Legal Executive to join their Projects team in Bristol. This is an excellent opportunity to work for a leading firm and enjoy high quality work.
What you'll need to succeed
You will be a Senior Paralegal or (Trainee) Legal Executive and will have several years' experience in dealing with construction contracts (principally reviewing, amending and drafting), preferably in the UK but international work will also be considered. You will be calm under pressure, and used to solving problems using the experience from previous transactions. You should have experience with a range of construction contracts (i. FIDIC, JCT, NEC, IChemE) and ancillary documentation (appointments, collateral warranties, parent company guarantees, performance bonds etc.).
Experience of engaging directly with clients and counterparties on construction matters (i. project managers, consultants, contractors, developers) is desirable, as is the ability to consider drafting, consider whether it should be accepted or not (and/or amend it appropriately). You should be able to manage a volume of contracts at a range of stages, from producing first drafts, agreeing amendments, organising execution and reporting to the client and have a willingness to develop existing precedents and create new ones, and help research and understand the impact of case law, legislation and circumstance on documentation and advice.
What's in it for you
This is a great opportunity if you're looking to work for a top tier, leading firm within a supportive and stimulating team environment. Interviews and induction processes are being coordinated remotely at present, to enable people to begin working from home until such time as it is possible to return to the office.
