An excellent opportunity has arisen for a risk lawyer to join this top 20 law firm with an excellent culture.

This is a newly created role as the firm continues to grow and puts an emphasis on ensuring their risk and compliance policies and procedures are best practice.

The team currently comprises of 5 in-house risk lawyers who form part of the office of general counsel. The role is really broad, encompassing conflicts and confidentiality, AML and sanctions, engagement terms, audit, modern slavery, data security, privacy, data protection and GDPR, insurance renewals and DAC 6 reporting.

The team is supported on the business acceptance side by a team of compliance officers who manage the day to day client and matter conflicts and AML and who escalate to the risk lawyers if there is a particularly complex issue.

Although ideal if you have experience across all areas, the firm are willing to provide training and are very open to applications from risk lawyers who have a specialism in one area who are keen to develop their risk and compliance skills and knowledge.

The firm is currently improving its conflicts processes so would be particularly interested in a risk lawyer who has a strong conflicts background or a conflicts attorney who is seeking a broader role.
