A rare opportunity has arisen for a Solicitor or Barrister with at least 5 years’ case handling experience in the personal injury sector to join a leading law firm based on the Wirral as a Court Diary and Advocacy Team Manager. You will be required to have managerial experience with the ability to compile and analyse data and take action according to the results.

Duties include:
- Managing the performance of the Court Diary staff, ensuring Court directions/timetables and Orders and processed in a timely manner in line with KPIs
- Managing and supervising staff and providing mentoring and training as necessary
- Ensuring that all necessary steps are taken within the team to ensure Court hearing dates and directions are recorded on the firm’s case management system
- Managing and monitoring the firm’s advocacy function, providing technical advice and guidance as and when necessary
- Ensuring that all internal briefs are prepared and delivered to the advocates in advance of any hearing
- Conducting monthly/quarterly and/or annual 1-2-1 meetings/quarterly reviews for the team
- Keeping up to date with all industry changes, including case law, legislation and other matters of relevance
- Assisting the Head of Technical with interviewing, training and general support
- Managing and overseeing the firm’s Court Diary, ensuring appropriate cover is in place for all hearings
- Carrying out and performing RTWs and 1:1s, managing and monitoring team holidays and providing general managerial support and guidance within the Court Diary Team
