BD Executive (Government) - 12 Month FTC
An excellent 12 month fixed term contract opportunity has arisen to join a leading international law firm as a Business Development Executive responsible for developing and leading the sector strategy for the UK Government.
The role holder will support the firm in embedding its already successful strategy in relation to its sector approach and for all facets of business development. You will help the practice group maintain their established position and capitalise on opportunities to win work from both key clients and prospective new clients. This will be provided through the execution of business development, client development and marketing initiatives. The successful applicant will implement the strategy for the UK Government sector through the development of clear "to-market" plans in full consultation will all key stakeholders and will support the client facing relationships which underpin the sector, acting as the "go-to" for queries from key clients. Key business development duties will include managing the production of RFP responses, pitches, capability statements and credential statements and also managing the client development for key client accounts which underpin the sector and taking an active role in client planning. On the marketing side, the Business Development Executive will be responsible for directory, awards and league table submissions and coordinating client events both off and onsite.
The successful candidate will be joining a very strong team and will find themselves in an excellent environment in which to develop. The Business Development Executive will require an excellent academic background or equivalent allied to proven business development and marketing experience gained in a professional services firm, to include a track record of delivering across the full lifecycle of a pitch, panel pitch or capability request and ideally will have Government pitch experience.
