LEGAL COUNSEL – CONSTRUCTION – 3+ PQE – SURREY - £EXCELLENT – JOB REF:3272

This role is initially required to cover maternity leave for a period of 12months, however due to the anticipated growth within the business over the next year, it is likely that this role could become permanent for the right individual. A superb opportunity for a Construction Lawyer/Solicitor to join this in-house team of a leading global organisation. You will be a key hire during an exciting period of growth and expansion, with a substantial pipeline of work secured for the coming months. As an experienced Construction Lawyer/Solicitor, you will be handling a mixed caseload of contentious and non-contentious construction matters, taking a ‘hands on’ approach to handling legal issues on behalf of the organisation. Duties will range from drafting and amending bespoke commercial contracts, to participating in tendering and projects. The contentious elements of this role will include advising on options in respect of contractual disputes and striving to reach appropriate resolutions. Your experience may have been gained within private practice or as part of an in-house legal team. With an outstanding record of providing pragmatic and timely legal advice, you will bring well-honed commercial acumen to the role. You will be highly analytical, with exceptional drafting abilities and will also be a talented negotiator. In addition to your professional skills, you will possess the right personal qualities to work well within this driven, committed and tenacious team.
