Commercial Contracts - Construction Lawyer

LAW Absolute are working with a local authority based in London who are seeking a Commercial Contracts Lawyer with extensive construction experience. This is a temporary role for three months initially and is inside IR35.

The Construction Contracts Lawyer will be required to undertake the following:

• Draft and advise on a variety of construction documents such as JCT PCSA 2016, JCT D&B 2015, collateral warranties, and performance bonds.
• Manage large regeneration programmes autonomously without the need for external support.
• Conduct contract negotiations.

Our client is seeking candidates with a proven track record in this area as you will be working projects autonomously and therefore will need to hit the ground running. Previous local government experience in this area would be advantageous. It is essential you have a current practising certificate and are available on no more than three weeks’ notice. Currently, the legal team are working from home.
