A prestigious international law firm is looking to hire a new HR Manager on a permanent basis, to support the Partner population. Within this role the Manager will have a Senior HR Officer and an Assistant supporting them to cover the full HR lifecycle of Partners across various countries and Practice Groups. Responsibilities will include ensuring a consistent approach to the HR life-cycle of Partners from joining/promotion through to retirement and driving forward their continued development during their time with the Firm, liaising with the Partner Recruitment Manager to ensure any lateral hiring needs compliment the internal talent pipeline, managing the Internal promotions, coaching and mentoring and transition support: work with the Partner Talent Manager and the L&D team to address gaps and put in place support where necessary, working with the Head of Partner HR to continuously improve the performance management cycle of Partners and help Partners succeed both as professionals and as leaders of the firm, provide advice on complex ER issues, including settlement agreements and investigations, involving the General Counsel and / or external lawyers where appropriate, advising and supporting Heads of Country in managing leavers (resignations, retirements, managed exits), including negotiating leaving terms directly with the leaving Partners if required, advising and supporting Heads on succession planning. Other duties include working with the Head of Partner HR to oversee the annual Partner reward processes to ensure consistency and fairness in the matrix, working closely with the HRD, CFO, CEO, Chairman, Board, Heads of Country, International Heads of Practice and Sector Groups, and Partnership Accounts, coaching and developing junior members of the team and supporting the Partner recruitment team with the preparation of business cases for lateral hires if required. Candidates need to have previous HR experience at Manager or Business Partner level within either a law firm or a Professional Services environment, excellent commercial and financial acumen, strong communication, leadership and strategic skills and extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office. A salary of around £80,000 is on offer.
