Your new role
You will be providing advice to NHS clients and some independent sector health clients on a variety of matters. This could include; delivery of new hospitals, health and social care facilities; housing; patient hotels; NHS estate redevelopment for income generating opportunities; and re-provision of medical equipment. The team also advise on a range of commercial transactions including: joint ventures, commercial ventures and partnerships; outsourcing; PFI/PPP contract renegotiation and termination; and information technology. The department is also involved in a wider variety of commercial and complex contracting work.
What you'll need to succeed
You will be a 2+ PQE solicitor looking to join a market leader offering access to an excellent quality of work. You will ideally possess strong commercial experience gained through employment in-house, local authority or with a UK law firm, however our client are also interested to hear from candidates with a keen interest in the health sector who are interested in a career change; for example you may be a clinical risk litigator looking for a new challenge. Experience of advising health bodies/other public sector organisations or the private sector would be desirable. You will have a practical and commercial approach and the ability to deliver clear, precise advice, in addition to strong technical skills and an ability to understand and work through complex legal issues.
What you'll get in return
