A popular London Council have an opportunity for an Employment Lawyer to join them on a part-time basis (3-days a week), working remotely, on a locum contract.

They're looking for someone who can start as soon as possible and ideally has local authority experience, although this is not required.

The Employment Lawyer will:

  • Handling Employment Tribunals, including some already in proceedings
  • Providing advice to the Council's HR department
  • Handling employment matters including discrimination, unfair dismissal, etc.
  • Give advice on cabinet and committee reports
  • Provide advice to schools on education law and provide ad hoc guidance to head teachers

This role is a lovely opportunity to work on interesting, great quality work and get exposure. The council offer flexible working patterns and are a great, welcoming team. This post is expected to be a long-running locum contract, which is an additional benefit of the role.
