Senior AML Officer
An excellent opportunity has arisen at a city law firm for a Senior AML Officer.
The Team
The team currently has a compliance manager and two compliance analysts and this role will sit in between the manager and the analysts. For a candidate keen on developing their supervisory/team leader skills, there will be the opportunity to allocate the work for the Analysts and be their first point of contact for queries.
The Role
The team see a number of complex and high risk AML issues arise, including with PEP’s and Sanctions and the successful senior AML officer can look forward to using a high level of analytical skills to assess and advise on these issues. You will be encouraged to manage even the high risk issues autonomously, there are no risk lawyers you need to escalate to.
The Requirements
Ideally you will have at least 4 years’ experience in a compliance role in a law firm. They are flexible if for example you have 2 years AML experience in another sector, and 2 years in a law firm. However they do need someone who has experience in a legal context.
Although experience at another city law firm would be an advantage, the firm will look at people who have experience at a highly regarded regional firm.
This is an amazing opportunity for a compliance officer who is looking for a step up and who wants to develop into a team leader or supervisor as it is rare that a firm will provide training in this.
Please note the role is initially a 12 month contract.
