Locum Childcare Barrister or Solicitor Advocate is required to join a local authority based in the Home Counties for a period of 6 months initially and the view of extension thereafter.

Our client is looking for a Solicitor Advocate or Barrister to join their childcare team with the view of undertaking advocacy on behalf of the solicitors in the team. You will have a real passion for public childcare work and you will be solely undertaking advocacy. The post is currently remote working as the courts are continuiing to do their hearings remotely. You will be allocated a paralegal which will effectively act as your clerk with booking hearings in for you. The majority of the hearings you will be undertaking are non contested matters but there will be contested matters in there which will include final hearings and fact finding hearings.

This role can be on a part time or full time basis, they would accomodate the hearings on the days you are available so it could suit someone who is looking to do this alongside another commitment or someone looking for a full time post.

Our client is happy to consider candidates that have a litigaiton background or a background in either family or childcare. This is a great opportunity for someone who is looking for long term prospects as well.
