An exciting opportunity has arisen for an ambitious M&A lawyer to join a FTSE 250 company.
Reporting to the Legal Director, you will support on multi-jurisdictional M&A transactions, particularly managing transactions from an in-house perspective. You will also advise on a range of commercial contracts and legal issues, drafting and negotiating contracts to a conclusion; help to evaluate risks, ensuring seamless support from external advisors and being a key contact point for all internal workstreams; have the ability to build strong relationships with senior management across the business to provide pragmatic solutions to legal issues.
To be successful in this role, you must have a strong academic background and trained at a top tier law firm. You will have gained significant and demonstrable M&A experience (3 to 6+ years). Ideally you will have gained some commercial contracts experience too either in private practice or in-house. You will have the ability to work autonomously, think strategically and creatively and communicate clearly and precisely. You must be enthusiastic, proactive, enjoy working hard and being challenged, and demonstrate sound judgment even in ambiguous situations. You will be able to build strong relationships with the senior management teams, becoming a trusted adviser.
This is an active role and they will be conducting interviews via videoconference and if necessary will onboard new joiners remotely.
